Where I come from

In 2018 I proposed to my wife Kelly in Friday Harbor. I didn’t know it at the time, but that decision was indicative of a gravity that would pull us back to call Bellingham home.

As the 5th generation born onto the same plot of land in DeWitt, Arkansas, I was destined to be a farmer in the Mississippi River Delta. My innate sense of adventure didn’t allow for that. After graduating from college, I cut my teeth in sales working for a Fortune 200 in Downtown Chicago. This intense cultural contrast, from community-centered farm town to money-minded business center, was quite the shock.

How I succeed

Those 10 years as a Strategic Account Executive gave me everything I needed in order to:

  • Deeply understand mutual value, common interests and unspoken agendas
  • Deftly navigate and achieve complex multi-million dollar negotiations
  • Organize and communicate in a way that is modern, effective, and efficient.
  • Board a train and also stop putting ketchup on hot dogs

What those 10 years didn’t give was a meaningful sense of community.

Why it matters

We very intentionally chose Whatcom and can speak in-depth to the nuances of what makes it uniquely special, wonderful, and challenging.

For us, it is the mountains, the sea, the farms and the people — and celebrating them in every unique way you imagine. This is our home.

I very intentionally chose Real Estate because it puts me on the grassroots of what makes this community and economy tick.

I look forward to the opportunity to meet you, hear about your own plans, and work tirelessly to help you achieve them - whether that’s a home, land, business, or anything in between.
